About Carolyn Nicholls
Carolyn Nicholls studied Textiles and Embroidery at Goldsmith College School of Art. Her work was sold through Liberties of London and she designed for Marshal Cavendish books and other publications.
She studied drawing with Betty Swanwick and later took up painting. She has exhibited in London and locally. Her work is in private collections in Canada, Australia and Europe.
She is a teaching member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) and received a Masters Degree from the University of East London for research into the specialised use of the hands in Alexander Technique.
She founded The Brighton Alexander Technique College in January 2003 and runs postgraduate refresher courses both in the UK and overseas. She has taught in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Sweden and Mexico.
She has a second masters degree from West Dean College in Creative Writing.
Carolyn runs week end courses in 'Painting, Poetry and Breath-work' for those wanting to explore creativity to manage chronic pain. No experience required!
